Coolant magnetic separator have been designed
and developed to clean the coolant liquid of very fine ferrous
particles which can't be removed by conventional filters. Its
use assures uninterrupted flow of pure coolant liquid which is
a must for any precision grinding operation. Incorporation of
coolant magnetic separator on grinding machine improves performance
of the machine with better surface finish of the job which is
otherwise not possible.
Use of coolant Magnetic
Separator reduces Contamination of coolant liquid, which in
turn enhances its life. The coolant liquid thus can be used
for double the normal time. This reduces the operational cost
of the grinding machine.
OPERATION :
Used coolant from the grinding machine is first passed through
the filter to remove course sediments ) and then discharged into
the coolant magnetic separator inlet. The coolant drum which houses
permanent magnets. Rotates at a very slow speed and in direction
opposite to the liquid flow.
Fine ferrous particles get attracted to the strong magnetic poles
of the separator drum. One brass scrapper is provided at the other
end of the machine to scrape the ferrous particles form the magnetic
poles and collect the same in a special boxprovided with the machine.
Rotation to the machine is provided by one
low speed geared motor of standard make operating on 440 volts
3 phase A.C.supply system and through a set of gears. A new feature
has been added to our drum design by providing continuous magnetic
polarity across the circumference of the magnetic drum.

For very high precision grinding, honning, broaching or lapping
operation addition paper band filter is recommended along with
coolant magnet. Use of paper band filter takes care of fine
non ferrous particles which are also present in minute quantities
in the coolant liquid. The coolant magnet is housed above the
paper band filter and liquid free from ferrous impurities fall
on filter paper. The process is fully automatic and consumption
of filter paper is negligible VIS-À-VIS the machine performance.

coolant magnetic separator are made in following standard sizes.
Machines up to 500 liters per minute capacities can also be manufactured
against requirement.
